I too was attacked by this bird!..in pretty much the same fashion... The thing has made the news since it has attacked so many people... Saw it attack a mailman and he freaked out and spilled all the mail out of his little push cart. It was great..and sad at the same time... Watching this bird attack gets me through the day.

DAY OF SPORTS!!!

Day of sports is this saturday!!! It will be held at my house, unless you guys have a different place in mind. I think that the sports will include: Fishing, Croquet (if steve can bring it), VolleyBall (If i can find my net and ball) Wiffle Ball (if dave can bring his stuff), and possibly some Bags (again if dave can bring it) Maybe a foot race or two...Any other sports are welcome. Come over to my house around 2pm? If everyone can bring something, maybe some beer, food, ice, a cooler. I'll do some cooking on the grill and provide some music for your dancing pleasure.

Canoeing Dates

Here are the dates for the annual canoeing trips, we are gonna make 2 trips again this summer. The first will be on the weekend of June 15th-17th and the second trip will be the weekend of August 3rd-5th. All are welcome to go with exception of the ladies (sorry ladies) its about $30 per person for the camping and canoe rental and we usually get up there on firday at various times, camp at the campsite friday night and hit the river saturday morning, camp on the river saturday night and return on sunday. Its a good time had by all, and Biff might drink a warm beer from your crotch on his hands and knees if you are lucky.

Stink Bomb

Pirates of the Carribean comes out on Thursday night at 8pm and it is worthy of a stink bombing. It was funny when we hit the Pink Panther movie and this movie will have a larger audience on opening night. I am willing to do this but there must be others who are going to this. I am looking at you Mr Tedesco and Mr Oz. It will be glorious like having sex while eating a hoagie.

Upcoming Turner Events

I got two things for people to make plans for. First, Michelle's birthday is may 7th, and she and two of her girlfriends, who are also celebrating their birthdays, are throwing a party downtown this friday at a bar called Hye...i think. Sounds like "high"....anyways, i think its around wrigleyville/wicker park area and there is one of those all you can drink deals, probably around $25 - $30. Im going down there after I get off work...probably go around 9pm. Everyone is now considered invited. Second, "The Day Of Sports" is on Saturday June 2. It has to be this day and no other day. If it doesn't happen that day then it's not going to happen. I have plans every other weekend and then Im moving June 26th. So let me know if your coming so we can make arrangements. On a side note : My friends Glen and Sara (from streamwood) just opened a hotdog place called Wienerville at 1785 Larkin Ave in Elgin. Its about a quarter mile east of randall. I did the logo for them so go check it out. Their food is really good, and its pretty cheap too.

Cubs Vs Cardinals Tickets

Hey all,
I'm not sure if you're interested but I thought I'd see if some of your Cubs or Cardinal fan friends might be. I have Cubs vs Cardinals tickets for next Friday, 4/20 game at 1:20pm Dugout Box Section 16 Row C seats 6-9 (right behind Cubs batter box)... I will sell them in groups of 2 at $260 a ticket ($255 cost + $5 tax processing, etc.) Excellent seats, just trying to get what I put into them back.. I guess maybe I shouldn't quit my day job to become a ticket broker, huh??? Let me know if you have any ideas (already tried stub hub, ebay, and craig's list).

Golf is back, well hopefully soon. I can get Player Passes again. $40 per book. There are over 50 chicagoland golf courses where its buy one get one free rounds. Split it with another person, and save your money in one round. Biff and Schmelzer bought them last year and enjoyed it. Let me know if you want it or know of anybody who does. Easter...Feaster?

So I was thinking that I come home here and there, but I only see certain groups of people at a time. Well, I think we should organize a "Feaster "party over Easter Weekend. A party where everyone has to bring some sort of food item (crave case, sack of tacos, bean caserole, etc) and we all party together. Several things are needed obviuosly and most important is a hosting site. This is plenty of notice for something, and if Woody reads this...I would even travel to Pekin. To those who doubt anything happening, whereever we go I promise to buy a Keg of the most voted wanted beer. C'mon people its been a real long time since a Manti party has been in full effect. Lets get a list of people who would attend, along with a place to hold such a glorious event. Remember....Klokowski (me!) will BUY a keg....all you need is a cup.....lets make a party!!!!!

I have never seen so many mullets before in my life. The mullet seems to be popular with the unattractive females. The cowboy hat is also very popular. NASCAR fans would fit in quite well in Vegas because there are people with all different types of mullets especially with negative sideburns. Thanks to everyone who showed up on Sunday for the Super Bowl. Too bad the Bears didn't do the same...

I hope everyone had a good time - I think being around so many people dulled the pain a bit. If a few of us were watching at someones house I might have gone through a 12 pack and eaten everything in sight. Actually I think that happened anyway, but it would have happened much faster in a smaller group.

Anyone got anything else to add? Comments and suggestions are welcome so long as you are in no way critical of me.

SNOWBOARDING

I went snowboarding with Michelle this past Sunday at Alpine in Wisconsin, and it was awesome. We want to go again fairly soon, and we thought it would be fun to go with a big group. We would probably go in like 2 or 3 weeks on sunday. What we did was we went there saturday night, got a hotel room at the resort for $100 and went on the hill the next morning. Its about $50 a person to go on the hill, and that includes rental to ski or snowboard from 9am to 5:30pm....and trust me, you get so tired and sore in that amount of time. Im not saying we would stay saturday night like we did, but it did make it a lot easier. I woke up this morning and couldn't move because I am so sore from falling so much, and getting stuck under the chairlift and dragged for 15 feet...so don't come if you're gonna be a pussy. You do get the hang of it fairly soon, but be prepared to suck horribly at first. I'll let everyone exactly what day we're planning on going, so whoever wants to come is welcome to tag along. I also want to see if anyone would want to go on the hill saturday, and then stay the night, and then hit the hill again sunday and drive home around 5 or 6pm. That would probably happen in like a month and a half. So, if anyone wants to go, but they don't want to stay the night saturday thats fine too...we would just have to leave early sunday morning...like 7:30am. Ok then....talk to you guys later

Damn Cold= Good times

Well everyone, it has been under 32 for a while now, and I think this is a good time to play some pond. There is a long list of people for the super bowl, and hopefully they can make it. I think we should play on Sat, over by Jay's house. Lots of ice over there, and could be a good time. Now, I don't know about goals, but I know wyz has pads, and I am going to say that I would be willing to play goal too. If we could get someone else to play also, we could get a real good game. I am looking at you Woody. Mr. Under Armor himself could be the ref, and run around on the ice. I think this would be lots of fun.

Go Bears

I put a deposit down on the basement of Lucky Jack's, a bar close to our house, for the Super Bowl, in light of the fact that absolutely no one's house will accommodate everyone and being crammed into a bar really sucks.

So, for 4 hours we can have $30 all you can drink beer and well mixed drinks, or $35 premium beer and mixed drinks. This excludes shots and on the rocks drinks. Their is also an option to do a cash bar. The space fits 40-50 people comfortably and a projector TV can be brought in. There's three TVs already down there, but are smallish bar TVs. We can also have it catered or bring our own food. So I need some input...

As far a drinks go, do you want to:

A. Have the $30 beer & well drinks;

B. Have the $35 premium beer & drinks; or
C. A cash bar.

As for food, do you want:

A. To have it catered (beef, mostacholi, etc.);

B. To bring our own food; or

C. Some of both.

Please let me know what you all would like to do and if you have any other ideas.

Hello Everybody -

The clock just turned to 12:00 here in Las Vegas, so we are officialy in the new year. Happy New Years everyone!!!

We are having an awesome time, luckily I was in the steam room for the majority of the ass-kicking the Bears took tonight.
