National Mustache Month

As the month of November ends, December brings new life into everyone because it is now known as National Mustache Month according to me. What this means is that every man or woman who can grow a mustache should flaunt it in the cold month of December. I have mine and I am wondering who will join me in this celebration of the mustach.

We are all here for you Woods.

Woody, I know that there is not much you can say in a situation such as this. I have been through it before with my dad, and we all know how hard these times can be. It's nice to know that at least your mom was with family. I'm so incredibly sorry for your loss, and just know that you will always have your friends there for you. You need anything at all, let us know, we all love you.

Fuck you cancer

All,

With a heavy heart, I wanted to let you all know that my my succumbed to her cancer early this morning. She put up one hell of a fight, more than any of us thought possible, and more than any of us ourselves could have handled. She was an amazing woman right to the end. She died in the company of our entire family, at home, and in the arms of her beloved husband Bill, the way that she wanted and requested to go.

We are still working out the details for the services, but I believe it will be a Tuesday / Wednesday celebration. I'll Let you know more as details become available. Thank you all for your thoughts and support. I know for certain that my mom can rest easy knowing that I have such a great group of friends to help me through this.

Woody

This Turkey Bowl thing is pretty intense. I dont think I'm going to be able to play, but I will try and make an attempt to stop by....probably not though. Anybody have plans for this coming Friday? Maybe we could all try going somewhere instead of 3 person groups scattered around town. Alright then, talk to you all later. SHAZBOT! booyakasha

Despite Win, Coaching Turmoil Clouds Bears' Future

By Larry Horse

Mon Nov 13, 2:29 AM CT

CHICAGO (Reuters) - The SEARCH
Chicago Bears
sounded out a warning to the rest of the NFC with a 38-20 mauling of the New York Giants on Sunday. However, the NFC are not the only ones that were warned on Sunday evening.

Assistant Coach Jeff Goldstein (pictured left) was formally admonished after the game by head Coach Lovie Smith. Goldstein did not join fellow assistants Mike Eagan and Dave Roeing at the pre-determined offsite location and this did not site well with Coach Smith who's comments left little room for ambiguity after the game.

"We are a good football team, and we did a lot of good football things tonight, but we also did some bad football things as well. I place blame squarely on the shoulders of Assistant Coach Goldstein. We really need to make sure he is truly on board this season."

These comments come at a very innorportune time for Goldstein (pictured right) who was arrested earlier last week for lewd and indecent behavior in public. All sources say that he was found to be "having too much sex with fire hydrants".

Also troublesome for Goldstein is that the team continues to win when he does not join Coach Roeing and Coach Eagan during game time. They are 6-0 when the trio meet for the game and a lowly .500 when he manages to attend.

It is obvious Coach Goldstein has some fence mending to do.

Even Assistant Coach Roeing had some harsh words for the besieged coach:

"Pfft... Pfft... Pfft..."

"I have a hair on my tongue, and you put it there Jeff Goldstein..."

"You put the kybosh on my deal, and now I'm going to put the kybosh on you!"

The events of this Sunday have determined two things:
  1. The Bears are the real deal, a force to be reckoned with.
  2. Assistant Coach Goldstein had better shape up, or the Bears might just let him go the way of David Terrell, disgraced and embarassed.
Assistant Coach Matt Mroz (pictured right) could not be reached for comment by the time of publish.

Turkey Day Approaching Quickly

3 Things Need Attention: 1.) Does anybody want to go to Penny Road Pub on November 22 for the Turkey Testicle Festival? There will be bands (that one Tool coverband will be there, they are good, if the sound works this time), a testicle eating contest, and they are open until like 4am. 2.) Anybody have any ideas on the Thanksgiving 2 celebration?? I've heard some ideas, but nothing concrete. 3.) Turkey Bowl will be here before we know it. This is more of a reminder for you guys. It will most likely be early due to field availability and our wonderful friends who have salmon to eat! Times will come at a later date. Also note, I don't know anything about you guys. I'm not even sure what your names are. Keep on Truckin'

RAIN in the Forecast

ATTENTION, please make sure your women show up for the game. Sure as shit, rain is definitely in the forecast for Saturday. There is only a 30% chance, but this could still scare girls away. Be a man and make sure they don't puss out, actually make sure you don't puss out either! After bowling on saturday, I have confirmed at least 11 girls will be playing. That equates to at least 21 people total for football (I'm sure there will be more). This could be the biggest game we've ever had. Girl on girl action promised. DON'T LET A LITTLE RAIN RUIN THIS!!! I'm looking at a total of at least 16 people (which is just counting girlfriends and boyfriends), so technically we should have even more. The game time is getting pushed back to 12:30-1PM...Please make note of this!!! Please spread the word, this is next Saturday. Even the Kock said he will be there to play! Lets show these bitches a good time!! Keep on Truckin'

Chilly Bowl 2006

That's right - the time has come. The Chilly Bowl is right around the corner (the date has been tenatively set for the day after Christmas, and more importantly the Re-Gifting Party).

I am not sure where it will be held. I am guessing that we are looking at either Country Lakes or St. Andrews again. Tee off will be at 10:07 AM.

Let me know if you plan on attending.

A few highlights from past years:

  • Quijano walking through a freezing but not frozen stream after downing most of a 12 pack of Leinie's on the front nine.
  • The ability to tunnel your way to the hole, ensuring a round of one putts (unless you are lazy)
  • Takedowns on the first hole (I believe Vavs took it last year)
  • A shirtless trio of Biff, Steve, and Quijano on the back nine last year
  • The feeding of booze to Biff so that he can no longer challenge for the White Fish trophy
  • Schmelzer leading at the turn only to get too drunk on the back to even come close. (2 years in a row)
  • And of course, giving Quijano the dreaded glove slap (2 years in a row)

My gloves are ready, are yours?
