September 9, 2006 - Bags Tournament

On Saturday, September 9, Patrick and John Fasso are having the 1st annual bags tournament at Patrick's house. Here are the details:

1. $50 per team; this money will provide food and beer, a dj (DJ triple play or aka John Fasso), also cash prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places. If we can get thirty teams or more, 1st place will receive $500, 2nd = $300, and 3rd = $200, so pick your partners well...

2. If people don't want to play and just want to party and have a good time, $10 per person.

3. Double elimination, we will have brackets made so that there will be no confusion.

4. Money has to be in by AUGUST 25, anything afterwards will be accessed $10 per team. So get your money in early.

5.All teams must have a name, be creative with them...

6.Since there will be many teams, 4 or 5 set of bags will be going at one time. We are trying to decide on how to keep score because once the booze starts kickin in, we dont want any one cheating (Mroz).

7. Tell anyone and everyone, do what you have to do to spread the word.

8. Very important - On Friday, August 25, the teams will be picked out of a hat randomly at Gameworks at 7 p.m., so if you want to show up, you are more than welcome. BUT THE MONEY HAS TO BE IN AT THIS TIME AND DATE without a $10 late fee.

What is the name of the lake that I will be dominating?

Well so far it looks like the Driscoll train will be leaving at 1:30. That is going to consist of Jess, Gina, Sally, Benny(dog), and myself. E~ It is a shame your dad sold the boat but I'll make due with the paddle boat. I will miss being Chrissys first matey. (I think we all remember what my name was). I would enjoy early fishing Saturday but if your pops doesnt want to its no big deal. What is the name of the lake? This blog thing isnt so bad. I'll catch up with you all later in the week. Wisconsin Trip 2006

Just thought I’d make a final post with regards to the trip up to my parents place in Holcombe, WI July 28-31st.

Dave and I are planning on leaving on Friday around noon if anyone would like to follow us up there. If not, I would recommend coming on Friday night or very early Saturday morning as it is a 5 ½ hour trip and much later than that would be a really long drive for a very short trip. We are planning on coming home on Monday the 31st. So you can stay the entire three day weekend or leave on Sunday if you have to work on Monday…You could always come down with the flu, strep throat, or explosive diarrhea if you don’t want to leave on Sunday.

People I know are coming include: Norm, Driscoll, Jessica, Salgado, Gina, Biff, and Quiano. Please let me know if you aren’t on this list and would like to come or if you are on this list and cannot come. Either email or post a response so I can verify. I will email you with directions when you respond (not so comfortable leaving exact directions up there on the web). BTW, everyone is invited, so if you weren’t asked directly by Dave or I, you ARE welcome to come up there!

Because this is such a short list of people I don’t think anyone will have to camp out; but if you’d like to, feel free to bring a tent. Here’s a list of things to bring: bath/beach towel, swim suit, pillows & blankets, clothes for both hot and cold weather, bug spray, sun tan lotion, beer or stuff to make mixed drinks, food (there is a grocery store in town if you don’t want to pack a cooler), WI fishing license if you have one (you can buy a weekend one Sat. at the bait store if you don’t have one), golf clubs if you want to go golfing (there’s a few really cheap places), and stuff for fishing.

Drisc, apparently my dad sold the little fishing boat a few weeks ago; so if you want to get into any of the little coves that the pontoon can’t fit you’ll have to use the paddleboat. SORRY ! My dad will be staying at our friends down the road on Friday night and might be available to take anyone who wants to go fishing at the butt crack of dawn on Saturday. Please let me know if you are interested so he doesn’t plan something else. Sally, if you bring Benny don’t forget his dog food or what ever else he might need… I‘d recommend putting some frontline on him as there’s lots of ticks up there.

Also, please be respectful… My parents have to live next to these people and frequent the bar down the road at least twice a month. That means don't beat the shit out of the towel dispensor, NO MATTER WHAT IT SAYS TO YOU!!

For all that can’t make it… Have fun taking family photos, testing fire detectors in a sweltering hurricane disaster zone, and doing whatever other lame excuse you had to stay within a five mile radius of Schaumburg.

Wisconsin/Fantasy Football

Erin, I will be headed up this weekend. I am planning on going up with Driscoll as of now but things could change. Also, I am planning on starting a fantasy football league on rtsports.com. Looking to have a live draft at my house or any location with internet access, and have some money put into it, $25-$50 per team, and the draft will be closer to the first game to help with preseason injuries. I am hoping for 10-12 teams so let me know soon if you want to join with email address and I can start to set it up.

Well,

As much as I wanted to resist the trend of becoming just another idiot with a blog, it has finally happened. I am just another idiot with a blog.

This does however give the rest of the Manti a unique opportunity to be a part of the website. Considering most people only visit the site for the guestbook and the occasional picture update, I figure this might be a way to get people more involved. Well, I didn't hear from anyone yet, so I went and bought tickets. Assuming Timmy is still coming, I have an extra ticket for whomever would like to come. $46, and we are in the bleachers, plus this offer includes a free ride from Timmy. If Timmy is not coming, then I have 2 tickets... and no free ride for you... Again, let me know if you want to see my smiling face, or, if no one lets me know, it will be an angry face...don't make it angry, you wouldn't like my face when its angry.
